This month has FLOWN by, and I didn't have Internet for some of it, and I didn't have time to blog. So, here goes. Get ready for pictures and randomness.
I look at this PostSecret over and over, and tell myself moving the kids is okay. I am certain that one of my friends posted this for me to read.
I told him home is always with me. I hope he remembers that for the rest of his life.
We moved from:
(freezing cold Cleveland.)
But we got to meet Reese finally, so it is a fair trade.
This picture makes me tear up every time I look at it, because I love her. And I miss her. And my days are just not the same without her.
We packed up the house for our big move on Carter's birthday. We spent the entire day locked in his room playing and watching movies. So his "four year old" pics are a little...
(Note the moving truck in the background.)
Ellie's eyes are changing color. Why God, WHY!?
My niece and nephew got way too big while I was gone.
Fatherhood looks really good on my brother.
This picture reminds me of the grasshopper one I took a while ago. It is my underwater version. Just his foot is in focus too.
I love macro (but I need some practice.)
I get to FaceTime with Connie, but miss her everyday while I am on the treadmill listening to music instead of laughing my butt off. How will I ever find someone to run with that makes me smile like Connie?
Ellie wasted no time, staking her claim in a new boyfriend.
Cousins who know how to dance, and make "Popeye" faces are the best kinds of cousins to have.
Nothing could ever replace this:
...but this helps.
I love when I can see myself in my kids eyes...
I am thoroughly convinced there never was, and never will be, anything more beautiful than her:
I couldn't love anything more than them.
This pretty much defines us:
Chris finally got a Navy tattoo:
I got tattooed in Cali with my two BFFs, but we failed on this pics. This is the only one we got.
It doesn't show the new tattoo.
Today someone called me "Alpha Female" and asked if I was hardcore because I had "tats." If he ever read my blog he would know how super wrong he was.
I took a couple of pics of snowflakes:
I guess that is something I couldn't do in San Diego...
This was Carter's very first best friend:
...and OMG, they picked up right where they left off.
I changed Chris' name from "Daddy", or "Lover" to "Beefy." I am training the kids. Today Carter told me he doesn't have a daddy anymore, he just has a Beefy. So- I guess they learn fast...
I have been still living at the YMCA, and my goal for March is to run a mile in 8 minutes. I don't really think I can do it, but I am going to try like hell.
