If you won't give us autumn leaves, we will make our own.

That's my girl!

Where ever did she learn this? Certainly not from me. Not at my house.

Happy marriages begin when we marry the ones we love, and they blossom when we love the ones we marry.

So I just filled out all my paperwork at the doctor's office:
"Highest level of school?" GRADUATE!

Why do they need that anyways? So they know if they need to talk slow? And my occupation, maybe, but work history? Oh well, I don't care- it was the first time I got to write that :)

Halloween Shoot

We went had a little Halloween shoot at the park yesterday.

I love the intensity of his face. He is really flying.

He is posing just like the action figure.

My Ladybug mid-flight.

He told me he found "alien lifeforms."

I love her chubbins face here.

Already a Daddy's girl

This is the perfect pic to me. He is so serious about being Buzz.

I really couldn't be more in love with her.

Happy Halloween, Ladybug.

Happy Halloween, Chooch

We made it!

The big inspection, to get ready for the big D, is upon us. We have been talking about this day for months and months now, the guys have been working LONG hours in preparation for this day, and if all goes well- life should be a lot more smooth when this week is over. Well, that is until D day, but we are not talking about that now.
Anyways, fingers crossed to my husbando and all his shipmates, that all the hard work paid off. And fingers crossed to my fellow spouses that the promise of relief will be coming soon.

The latest edition of: Like Father, Like Son

House Rules:

New house rules:
All present and future celebrations are to be accompanied by Ellie's pigtails. Why? Because Mommy said so.

Fall fun

She is so excited, she is screaming.

Fancy Dancer

Today is a good day. Today I woke up and took my final exam, for my final class, for my degree. I am officially a college grad, and I feel amazing!
My school career went something like this:

-Quit school my freshman year of high school.
-Decided at 17 to finish, and did some pointless home school program. Shouldn't have passed, but they gave me a diploma.
-Went to a good state school for two years, acquired debt up to my ears and transferred to a community college.
-Landed an awesome job and decided "who needs school."
-Married into the military and left said "awesome job," and decided "I need school."
-Completed a painfully boring medical transcription program, only to have constant hand problems. Not only do I NEVER want to be a transcriptionist, but I am fairly sure the reappearing cysts and carpal tunnel would prevent that from ever happening. Regardless, I never received the certification, because my dumb ass never took the final.
- FINALLY got my act together, enrolled in an online school, and GRADUATED!
FINALLY completed a program.
But, if I am being honest I would have never passed my last class if my Dad didn't literally walk me through it. I (stupidly) picked political science as an elective. I thought it would be good to learn new things. No, no, no. That was the hardest. class. ever. So, credit where credit is due.
Acceptance speech:
I would like to thank... myself. Thank you self for finally getting of your ass and doing something. Thank you for putting in the late nights and not whining too much. Thank you for kicking total ass.
Just kidding. It is only my Associates for God's sake.
***laughing at myself
This is what happens when you celebrate alone with yourself on a Saturday afternoon. The kids are sleeping, the hubby is at work, and I am working on a bottle of wine to celebrate- while rambling to my non-existent audience on my blog.
***laughing at myself again :)
