He is so happy to have his friends back.

Back to work, means back to play time for Carter. He loves her so much!

Back to Reality

Well, our vaca is officially over- I go back to work today. I have to say, I had the best time! Carter got to do something nearly everyday. I had my list of freebies, and one by one we checked them off. We went to the zoo, to the farm, and to the play areas at the malls.
We ran all errands, cleaned the house and cars, relaxed, had some family time- just right for a stay-cation.
But, all good things must come to an end.
Oh, and Carter really is doing good with potty training, and talking after having us both home for a week. If I could just get him to forget the word "no."

I love his face here.

18 months

Carter turned 18 months this August, and we took him for pics. We also did family pics with my brothers family. More on winkflash.

The music at Luray

OMG- the caverns are beautiful. I love love loved them. We met up with family, and spent the weekend in the mountains. That city is amazing- I don't think I have ever been so deep in the mountains before. It was exactly what Chris and I needed- the complete opposite of Hampton Roads. Carter definitely had the best time of all. <3

After the family left we headed south to the Natural Bridge. It was cool too, and one of the prettiest parks I have ever seen.
Now, let the stay-cation begin! Chris has four more days, and I have seven! ***sigh*** ***smiles***

Carter's First Little Cone

We had a really nice weekend. Today I took him on a short outing to the duck pond, then to Rita's (this totally boss Italian ice cream shop out here.) Anyways, we were just getting take out for desert after dinner, but Carter charmed his way right into a miniature ice cream cone. We sat on the curb and ate it. I wish I had my camera, because he thought he was something else. Thank God for camera phones and baby wipes.

Chris came home Monday morning. Of course, he is on duty today- but that is okay. We are so happy! I am exhausted after a looong start to the summer, but August is lookin' good! Chris' hours should let up, we have a week long vaca planned together, and I have help again. :)

Back to VA

Cleveland was so fun/exhausting/busy/short- but I am back home. I actually drove straight through Sunday, and me and Carter have been recovering. It does feel good to be home. Back to work tomorrow, and the rest of August should be a breeze :) I uploaded a ton of pics.
