March 24th

Today is our 2nd wedding anniversary and my 26th birthday. I am so excited that I don't even care that me and Carter have the flu, or that Chris has to work until 6pm. Whatever- ahhhhhh... ***smiles***

Our Special Day

Back to weekend rotation for the duty sections- yuck. Carter and I had been cooped in the house all week, so I planned a big day for myself and the little squirt. Our day started at 5:30 when we dropped Daddy off to home.

We headed home for a pancake breakfast, Carters fave- then off to Gymboree for our trial class with BFF Rhino.

Carter and Rye at Gymboree

The class was super cheesy, but way fun. Carter loved it, I had a coupon and mad bargaining skills, so I signed up until May 11th for $25. I am happy with that.

Class ended at 10, so straight to the Mac Author Center for pics with the Easter Bunny. Choochie was L-O-V-I-N on that bunny. Let me tell you...

Carter thinking he is even cooler than usual, chillin' with the bunny in an Alice in Wonderland themed set.

By then it was 11- nap time. Home for two hours, rest and lunch. Then over to the Virginia Air and Space museum. They are running a special through March called Freedom Days, where it is free for all military, so I thought we would check it out. We killed a couple hours there, but it really was not little kid oriented. It was spacious, which was good enough for Mr.Mr.- he walked everywhere. We don't even take the stroller with us anymore.

Cart Lightyear

I had to stop for a couple of things at Wal-Mart, and this is where the real spoiling comes in. He got this new chair, a kite, new sippy cup, and silverware. Seriously Ashley? See Below:

Carter, again convinced he is the coolest thing that happened to the world, in his new chair. (Which was in fact a gift from his Gramma, but was previously grandfathered in prior to previous post.

Then, no Mommy-Carter day can really be complete without his absolute favorite treat, a smoothie. Anyways, we needed something to try out that new cup.

Are you picking up on this "I think I am the coolest ever" trend he has going on?

We finished off the day with blue bath time, and tucked him in. Long day, but a good day. We both needed a day out of the house.

Greeny Feast

Happy St.Patty's Day!

My little leprechaun is still sleeping, but breakfast is ready.

He gets: green vegi omlett, green cinnamon toast, green bottle, and green yogurt and cereal.

I know he doesn't really care, but I feel it takes me from "cool mom" to "susie home-maker that rocks your socks off mom."

Here is Carter from last year. He really did look like a little leprechaun, with that curly red hair. I wish everyone could have seen my point of view when he was first born. I called him a leprechaun in the delivery room- he had crazy long red eyebrows that were sticking straight up. He has grown out of it quite a bit, but it is still fun to tease.

Catching up with March.

Yes this is snow, and yes I live in VA. But, this was taken Tuesday the 2nd, and by this weekend it was in the 70's. In like a lion, out like lamb.

Target has bubble makers on sale for $8. What says spring more that playing outside and blowing bubbles?

We bought a membership to the zoo this year for $40. He loves it!

Right in the middle of downtown Hampton there is Bluebird Gap Farm. I is cute, free, and has a playground. It doesn't make up for the lack of metroparks, but it helps.

Rigley's Believe It Or Not Museum.

The Grams'

Mad props to the Grandma's who split up my recovery time and came to VA. You made my life as the one hand wonder a little easier, and Carter had the time of his life.
