Well, at home that is. It did snow in Cleveland when we were there. But today, we get to sit at the window in our pajamas and watch it fall.
It is Chris' duty day, all my chores are done, and no plans to speak of so... Mommy and Carter Super Cuddle Date Day is in full effect. I even have on my fuzy socks.

Okay, so if you are reading this, forgive me- I am going to sound like a boasting, overly proud mom for a minute (because I am a boasting, overly proud mother.) CARTER WALKED TODAY! He is not even 9 months old yet, and he is taking up to three steps at a time! I AM SO EXCITED!

While in Cleveland Jen and I planned a whole Carter/Cassidy date day. The boys had their pictures taken in costume, we all went out to eat, and then ***drum roll*** the circus! It was so much fun. Carter almost lasted the entire two and a half hours without a meltdown. It was wayyyy later than I thought it would be, but still fun fun fun. We even ended the night with cheesy photo booth pics which I LOVED!
So much to say, so little time.
Well, for starters, I haven't been blogging as much because I have been trying to spend my computer time doing homework. I have been really motivated. (Yay me!) Still, I have a ton left- but progress is progress. Anyways, I have turned over a new leaf and am trying to use my time more wisely.
I had an impromptu visit in Cleveland that went really well. I had very limited time (as to be expected trying to visit a million people in a couple days.) I went home for a funeral, and stayed for a visit. I had a great time, but still left with a guilty conscience about not seeing everyone. I guess that is just something I have to get used to.
I came home to find that my babysitter has bailed. She has some personal things going on, and can't babysit Carter anymore. I get to re-claim my stay-at-home-mommy throne. I have very mixed feeling about this. My only reservation is the money. There is no way I am going to find another sitter for the same money, and we just don't have anyone else to ask. I guess it is just time to tighten our belts. The good thing, my boss is letting me keep Saturdays (only five hours, twice a month) but that is still something to put on a resume someday. From experience, I know that being a full time housewife/Mommy is a very hard, real job- but down the road what will my future employer think.
Halloween went awesome. My friend "Martha" totally went all out for the kids and adults. So we spent the evening at her home, and trick-or-treated as a group. I don't think Carter could have had a better time. We got some really cute pics. Carter and his cousin Cassidy had their pics done professionally in Cleveland, but we won't get those back until mid-November. It will be such a cute keepsake. Also, Amber got Carter a super thoughtful Potato Head-Pumpkin Kit. It worked out perfect for Carter since he is obviously too young for carving (but Mom still wanted to be festive for his first Halloween.) We had fun with it.
So I have been home for a couple days, but just getting in my groove. Everyone got sick in Cleveland, expect me, but Carter picked up a little cold. He has had a runny nose. I just got the flu mist, and I feel okay, but he just got the shot. I think the shot/runny nose combo has knocked him on his little butt today.
Well, that is about our October update. We had a HUGE month, and loved every minute of it. I think November will go by equally fast, and we are planning Thanksgiving dinner with both of our mothers. I really love the holidays.
