Little Legacys

Carter. He has my lips. I was never a fan of my lips. Thick lips are ideal, and sometimes I smile so hard my top lip disappears. But his lips are shaped just like mine and I admire them all day long. I love them when the bottom one quivers and rolls under when he is telling me he is upset, I love them when he is smiling, when he is making his little who face, and I love them now that he is making different sounds and that little voice is forming on them.

I love those perfect little lips.

The mail-man did it...

Well, we hit the gym again today. I managed to make it at a super slow time, which I love because I can be sure Carter is getting lots of attention in the daycare. And sure enough when I went to pic him up, there he was, laying on a blanket in the middle of the floor surrounded by five ladies- hamming it up.

Not to sound like a proud Mommy, but I can't walk more than five feet without someone stopping me, "he's so cute..." "how old..." "yadda yadda." I am sure this is really common with a newborn, and I eat it up. But, then comes the all so common, "where did he get the red hair?" The basic assumption would be from either Mom or Dad, but people still ask.

Finally today I answered, "Oh, I think from the mail-man."

The fact that I was the only one standing there laughing just made me laugh even harder. I guess my super Christian-based YMCA doesn't warm up to infidelity and promiscuity.

I wish I could have a picture with all those ladies jaws on the floor. ***laughing while I am typing***

I am going to try that line a couple more times and see how it goes. Maybe an old lady at the super-market will get a chuckle...

MY LOVER JUST MADE E5! Chris has been in the Navy for 17 months and he is already a Second Class Petty Officer. He has worked so hard and come so far in a short period of time. I am so proud of him, but mostly happy for him. I love seeing him proud of himself.

My Angel

Carter is so sweet and cuddly in the morning. He is always full of smiles and ready to coo. It is my favorite time with him. It makes me extra grateful that I don't have to work, then everyday I would be rushing around and missing out on this time with him. I might not even know he is a morning person.

Carter Love.

What a beautiful day-

Carter watching Mom and Dad play Frisbee. He pretty
much thinks we are crazy.

Our ill attempts at a family portrait.

He thinks I am funny. I think he is perfect.

So after the boys woke up from their nap we ended up going to the park and playing Frisbee. I can't remember the last time Chris and I laughed so hard together. I couldn't wipe the smile off my face. It was perfect weather, we were in the sun, and I was playing with my family. We tried to snap a couple family shots but our faces are cut off. I love them anyways- they just look like we were having fun. Check out our picture site for more.

Carter Found His Voice

Today, just out of nowhere Carter James has started talking up a storm. He is cooing, and jabbering, and kinda yelling in a way. Anyways, I of course think he is insanely talented. I mean, my baby coos...

Daddy's Little Squirt

Carter 3Months

I think we need to take a closer look at Carter's little outfit. Is that a whale? Really...REALLY?

My world in a pic.

I know Chris is going to yell at me for snapping pics and then posting them, but I can't help myself. Look at them! My whole world fits in a twin sized bed...
